Echoes of Wings is an independent documentary filmed over the course of one year at Oasi di Sant’Alessio, in the province of Pavia, Italy.
Founded in 1973, the Oasis was one of the pioneering Italian institutions dedicated to the breeding and reintroduction of endangered species into the wild. One of its most important conservation projects focused on the white stork, with nearly 700 individuals released over a period of thirty years. Through the voices of Harry Salamon, Giulio Salamon and Niccolò Salamon, the film explores the history of the Oasis, the daily work of those who care for it, and a relationship with nature built over time through conservation, respect and freedom.
Filming took place across different seasons, following the natural rhythm of the environment and its wildlife, with the aim of combining documentary observation with a more cinematic and immersive visual language.
